HARRISBURG – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced that Delta Borough has been awarded a $420,000 Small Water and Sewer grant. This grant will be used to replace water lines that are located in Delta Borough and Peach Bottom Township in York County.
“This funding will help allow the borough to replace over 3,300 feet of cast iron pipe with a PVC water line along Broad Street, Front Street, Chestnut Street and Pendyrus Street,” he said. This is an important project which will help to reduce water loss and improve water pressure. By making these upgrades the borough is able to ensure better fire protection by improving fire hydrant flow.
“I was proud to support this grant for Delta Borough, and I continue to fight for funding for the people of the 94th legislative district. My hope is this grant, combined with local funding, will help complete this critical project.”
The Small Water and Sewer project grants are the result of state funding that is provided by Act 63 of 2008.
