Saylor, Gillespie to Host Senior Citizen Expo on Oct. 28
HARRISBURG – State Reps. Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion) and Keith Gillespie (R-Hellam) will be hosting their annual Senior Citizen Expo on Friday, Oct. 28, from 8:30 a.m to 11 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 1775 East Market St., York. The expo is free and open to the public.

“I am pleased to once again be able to host this worthwhile event,” said Saylor. “Representatives from a number of agencies and businesses will be available to discuss the services they provide to our older residents, their families and caregivers.”

Certified Public Accountant David Welber is scheduled to present a program called “Money and Life,” which provides information on critical financial issues. These businesses and organizations will also be in attendance: Lutheran Home Care; Met Ed; Staying Connected; Visiting Angels; York County Area Agency on Aging; and York County Weatherization Program.

Flu shots will also be provided. In order to be vaccinated, seniors must pre-register with Saylor’s or Gillespie’s district office on or before Friday, Oct. 20. Seniors should remember to bring their Medicare card with them to the senior expo.
