Saylor Says Developmental Disabilities Council Seeking Nominations

The Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council is seeking nominations for membership on its committees on Advocacy, Inclusion, and Services and Support, Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) said today.  The council is particularly interested in appointing young people with developmental disabilities to these positions.

Committee membership involves a commitment to five two-day meetings a year and to participation in a variety of review and writing teams and task forces.  Costs for travel, lodging, personal assistance, and child care are provided.

To submit a nomination for committee membership, please complete the form available at and return it to the address provided.

The Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council is a 20-person body appointed by the governor, and authorized by federal law to engage in advocacy, systems change and capacity building on behalf of people with developmental disabilities.  For more information on the council, visit
