Saylor Announces Availability of New Resource Guide for Autism Community
4/27/2010

Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) today announced the launch of a free Internet directory that highlights autism-friendly businesses and locations.

“This website provides a host of information on autism services available throughout the Commonwealth,” said Saylor.  “It provides information on everything from which medical providers specialize in autism, to the nearest support groups, which restaurants meet a child’s specific dietary needs, and a range of other services geared toward those with autism.”

The website, www.autismresources.com, was a recommendation of the state’s 2004 Autism Task Force.  It was developed by Keystone Autism Information Systems Inc., a non-profit founded for the sole purpose of developing this public service autism resource site.

Although maintained by Keystone Autism Information Systems, www.autismresources.com depends on user feedback to provide recommendations and reviews.  Those in the autism community are encouraged to share their expertise on the new site.

For those without Internet access, a toll-free number is available to request or share referrals.
