PHEAA to Host Two-Day Job Fair, Saylor Says

Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) today announced that the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will hold a two-day job fair at its headquarters building at 1200 North 7th Street in Harrisburg.

The job fair will be held:

  • From 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 28, and
  • From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 29.

PHEAA has approximately 150 full-time and summer position openings in its customer service and collection call centers at its Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg locations.  These positions are entry-level wage positions paying $11 per hour and will include full training.

“Unemployment rates in central Pennsylvania are near 10 percent,” Saylor said.  “As a result, many in our area are having great difficulty finding a job.  As one of the largest employers in the region, PHEAA is providing residents with a much-needed opportunity to find employment.”

Job seekers are required to complete an application for employment prior to the job fair in order to be considered for employment.  The employment application and detailed job descriptions can be obtained at
