Saylor Praises Habitat Improvement Grants
HARRISBURG – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) today urged watershed partners and stewards to take advantage of a grant funding opportunity that is now available to address habitat improvement and sediment reduction projects in York County.

The York County Conservation District this week announced the grant program and funding is being provided by Exelon Generation Company.

Saylor commended Exelon for committing to fund the grant program at $225,000 annually through 2030 as part of its water quality certification from the state Department of Environmental Protection.

“The York County Conservation District has done great work working with farmers and our residents to enhance habitat and water quality in our communities,” Saylor said. “Exelon has shown itself to be an active partner in environmental and wildlife conservation. The folks at the conservation district have done much to help improve our land, waterways and the Chesapeake Bay Watershed overall.”
