Saylor Announces Funding Boost for Red Lion Seniors
5/22/2014
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) today announced that this week grant funding in the amount of $105,272 was awarded to Red Lion Area Senior Center.

“The Red Lion Senior Center is an integral part of our community, providing area seniors with a multitude of services, activities and a central place to meet with friends,” Saylor said. “I was pleased to strongly support their grant application with a letter of my own, and as a member of House Leadership, I helped ensure that the 2013-14 state budget combined the additional $50 million in Pennsylvania Lottery funds with important rate schedule changes at the Department of Public Welfare to provide as much funding for our seniors as possible.”

The grant award can be used to advance senior community center projects to modernize facilities, encourage technology improvements, expand innovative programming, and help to meet the needs of their participants.
