Summer Positions Available with Turnpike Commission, Says Saylor

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has authorized the 2011 Summer Turnpike Program for college students, Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced today. 

Available positions will be toll, maintenance and clerical.  The Turnpike Commission anticipates more maintenance positions to be available than toll collector positions. 

Toll collectors must be available to work any of the three shifts over a 24-hour period, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.  Employees will not receive benefits for working 40 hours. 

The program is limited to 16 weeks per employee and runs between May 1 and Sept. 30. 

All applications MUST be submitted to Saylor’s Harrisburg office at 121 Main Capitol Building, P.O. Box 202094, Harrisburg, PA 17120-2094 no later than Friday, March 25.
