HARRISBURG – After hearing from local business owners, construction workers and others, members of the House of Representatives from York, Adams and Cumberland counties joined together to urge Gov. Tom Wolf to allow construction projects to be completed and to allow workers to return to job sites. Previously, Wolf included construction on the list of “non-essential” businesses, which put a halt to construction projects in Pennsylvania. RED LION – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced that he has temporarily closed his Red Lion district office to walk-in visitors in an attempt to limit the spread of COVID-19, commonly referred to as the coronavirus.
HARRISBURG - Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) today announced that the five school districts he represents have been awarded a total of $210,000 by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. The grants, made possible by the Republican-sponsored Act 44 of 2018, are for purchasing equipment and developing initiatives to improve school security and reduce violence.

HARRISBURG – House Republican leaders reacted to the governor’s call to increase state spending by $2 billion for fiscal year 2020-21. The governor presented his $36 billion spending proposal today in front of a joint session of the General Assembly.

HARRISBURG – A stretch of Front Street at Riverfront Park along the scenic Susquehanna River in Wrightsville will be improved and made safer for pedestrians through a $1 million Multimodal Transportation Fund Program grant awarded today, Reps. RED LION- Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced a $426,885 grant for Delta Borough in York County. This grant will help Delta Borough revitalize and make streetscape improvements along Main Street. The multimodal grant was made available as a result of funding provided for in Act 89 of 2013.
WHAT: Representative Stan Saylor is hosting Secretary Leslie Richards on a tour of Chanceford Township to examine flood damage to roads and bridges as the result of the floods in August 2018.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) was appointed as a member of the National Guard Youth Challenge Advisory Board. The National Guard Youth Challenge program is an initiative designed to help at-risk youth in the Commonwealth. The program was established in law by Act 51 of 2018, which was authored by Saylor.

HARRISBURG – York County Republican legislators are accusing Gov. Tom Wolf of heeding party wishes over the needs of Pennsylvania’s cash-strapped counties by vetoing much-needed election reform legislation today. Wolf’s decision to reject Senate Bill 48 kills efforts to help local governments with the cost of the 2020 election - after he unilaterally decertified all of the state’s voting machines - and do away with the antiquated straight-party voting option at polling places.
HARRISBURG – York County is about to be the beneficiary of a record windfall of more than $485,000 from the collection of an impact fee on natural gas drilling activities in other regions of Pennsylvania, according to members of the county’s House Republican delegation. Distribution of revenue will take place in early July.
