HARRISBURG – A measure aimed at reducing Pennsylvania’s debt burden passed the House and now heads to the Senate for consideration, Appropriations Chairman Stan Saylor (R-York) and Speaker of the House Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) said today.

Stan Saylor (R-York) today announced that federal Economic Injury Disaster Loans are now available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations located in Pennsylvania as a result of the frost and freeze that occurred on April 4–10, 2016.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced that Delta Borough has been awarded a $420,000 Small Water and Sewer grant. This grant will be used to replace water lines that are located in Delta Borough and Peach Bottom Township in York County.

HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Wolf today unveiled his budget address for the 2017-18 fiscal year to the Pennsylvania General Assembly. The governor’s proposed $32.34 billion spending plan includes no broad-based tax increases and sends more money to our public schools for basic education funding, PreK Counts, special education and Head Start Assistance.

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion) has been elected majority chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, which is charged with passing legislation related to state government spending and evaluating the fiscal impact of individual bills. During the 2015-16 session, Saylor served as majority chairman of the House Education Committee and was elected majority whip for the 2013-14 session, the highest-ranking position achieved by any York County Republican in state government.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) today was elected by his colleagues in the House Republican Caucus to serve as the new chairman of the Appropriations Committee and as a member of the Republican leadership team. The position had been held by Rep. Bill Adolph (R-Montgomery) since 2010. Adolph did not seek re-election and is retiring at the end of this legislative session.
